HDPE container recycling line

HDPE Container Recycling Solution (Rigid HDPE/PP)

High-efficiency recycling for rigid HDPE/PP containers: drums, crates, bottles, and industrial packaging. Crushing, intensive washing, sink-float separation, and optional pelletizing deliver high-purity regrind or pellets for reuse.

  • High-purity HDPE/PP regrind or pellets
  • Oil and grease removal for oily containers
  • Crushing optimized for rigid structures
  • Sink-float tuning for material separation

Typical Process Flow

Pre-Sorting Crushing Pre-Wash Hot Wash Friction Wash Sink-Float Rinsing Dewatering Drying Pelletizing (optional)

Crushing & pre-wash — Size reduction for rigid containers; pre-wash removes loose contamination and starts oil/grease breakdown.

Hot wash & friction wash — Detergent and heat remove oils and organics; friction wash adds mechanical cleaning for stubborn residues.

Sink-float & drying — Density separation isolates HDPE from PP and contaminants; dewatering and drying prepare for pelletizing.

Key Outputs & Quality Targets

Output form

Clean HDPE/PP flakes or pellets; regrind suitable for blow molding and injection.

Oil / grease removal

Detergent hot wash and friction wash target oil and grease contamination.

Optional add-ons

Wear-resistant blades, sink-float tuning, optical sorting, throughput scale-up.

Pelletizing (optional)Extrusion for uniform pellets

Engineering Notes

How is oil contamination handled?

Detergent hot wash with alkaline chemistry breaks down oils; friction wash adds mechanical action. Dwell time and temperature are tuned for your contamination level.

How do you select detergent?

Alkaline detergents for oils and organics; we recommend based on your residue type and water hardness.

How is sink-float tuned?

Density of the medium is adjusted to separate HDPE (sinks) from PP (floats) and contaminants. Medium density typically 0.95–1.0 g/cm³.

What about wear parts?

Crusher blades and wash paddles use wear-resistant materials. We specify based on your throughput and material hardness.

What throughput range is available?

300–1500 kg/h typical for rigid container lines; higher capacities with parallel modules.
