HDPE Detergent Bottle Washing Line

Published
Duration
2:25

About this video

HDPE bottles for detergents and cleaning products are a large source of plastic waste. This crushing, washing and recycling line turns discarded HDPE bottles into reusable raw material.

The bottles are first crushed, then washed to remove contaminants, labels and residual chemicals. Separation steps such as centrifugal dewatering and flotation purify the flakes, which are dried before extrusion and pelletizing into recycled HDPE pellets.

Key points

  • Crushing of HDPE daily-chemical bottles
  • Washing to remove labels and residues
  • Flotation and centrifugal separation
  • Dried flakes ready for pelletizing

What the video shows

Questions buyers ask

Why do detergent bottles need a dedicated washing line?

They carry residue of detergents and cleaning agents as well as labels and caps. Washing and separation remove these so the flakes can be pelletized.

What flake size does the line produce?

Typically 8–17 mm, set by the crusher screen.
